WHO TOLD YOU JESUS DIED?

Stop there! Who told you Jesus died? Close that mouth, do not yell! It’s a fiction; there was no Jesus that ever existed anywhere? That Bible of yours who told you its factual? It’s just a best seller fiction story. You didn’t eat meat for some days’ since last month and this week I guess claiming its lent period. By Friday 29th you call it ‘Good Friday” and Sunday 31st April, you will be remembering His resurrection, how dare you remember somebody who never existed, if you are not a ‘fool’.
Don’t pray curses on me yet, and what’s that look of surprise on your face, at what you are reading? You caused it; you made me ask those questions. Who told you Jesus was killed? Who told you that He died and resurrected?
Look at you week days you conduct yourself and dress as you want and on a Sunday morning you go like an angel to church. And you think you can tell me Jesus died and resurrected. Or you are of the generation that says Christianity is of the heart, stop! Clothes you wear, things you do, are they not from your heat? Look at you, John took your pen from your desk or just that little argument with Sarah and you went into voice-mail; stop there! you just got to work late for no just reason, because it is not your ‘fathers’ work abi? So why won’t I ask you who told you Jesus died? because the Jesus I know, said in the good book the Bible, a ‘servant of God do not quarrel’… ‘let not thy nakedness be seen’ or better put, spiritual men/women must not cheat, lie, fornicate/commit adultery (because their body is God’s temple), being jealous, kicking against constituted authority, e.t.c, it says our deeds should leave the level of being good to become righteous.  Jesus died and resurrected not because am good, but he gave me grace to say no to all form of unrighteousness.
However we as present day Christians has caused men of darkness to keep asking us, who told you Jesus died? Many of us claim to believe in God, religion, the Bible and many things spiritual. But it is the substance of that belief that matters my dear! The bible you must know is not God’s attempt to offer illumination, insight, interesting theories or good advice for our consideration; it is for action, a way of life my dear!
Funny you know, how so many saw that ‘Jesus’ Cross is a bridge over the gulf between God and man-between heaven and  earth, yet how few took the time to cross it.
For the grace of God has come forward for the deliverance from sin and the eternal salvation of mankind. It has trained us to reject and renounce all ungodliness and worldly desires, to live discreet, upright, devout lives in this present world” (Amplified Bible, Titus 2:11-12)
Let me sum up with Edward Shillito Poem, Jesus of the scar
“The other gods were strong, but thou became weak.
They rose, but thou didst stagger, to a throne.
But to our wounds, only God’s wounds can speak,
And no god has wounds but Thou alone.”
So dear, your own Jesus or god that you say died and resurrected and you are still the way you are, is a god (fashion, money, popularity/fame, sexual pleasure, pride and all wickedness) that has no wound.
So as I celebrate Easter 2013, I know he was killed and he resurrected. So for you, who told you? Your personal testimony or what people are saying. It’s not too late, will you die with him, be buried and resurrect even this Easter with him, to live forever. Our journey with Jesus should be based on personal testimony not on acceptance or work.
Shalom!

Everybody Should Win:The need to Learn how to Resolve Conflict

“Two are better than one, because they have good return for their labour” Eccl. 4:9 “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14 As a development consultant with some specialty in conflict management, working in the space for over a decade now, I can confirm that indeed life is inevitable without conflicts. But how we manage the process is key. The Bible references above reminds of the benefits we get from working together and also living in peace and above all the spiritual benefits. Living in peace facilitates holy living, which in turn makes us to see the Lord, in everything we do. This article will be a form of review of Gary Chapman’s book “Everybody Wins: Guide to Solving Conflicts without Arguing” (if you can please get a copy for yourself). The goal of everyone, couples or people in relationship should be to resolve conflict without arguing. We must first establish before proceeding ...

Prayer Mission Statement IV

Acts 10:1-8 “He and all his family were devout and God fearing, he gave generously to those in need and prayed regularly” v 2. We go a step further  in our family prayer series, before we round up it up with the next post by His grace. The suggestion in part IV is to formulate a family prayer mission statement, our praying should focus on our mission statement. Remember some couples of weeks back, we shared the issue of vision and mission statement together and through the scripture, we agreed that without a vision/mission statement people perish, people are stagnant or have no direction at all. Like said yesterday that as a family there is need to have or know the purpose and plan of God for our family. The statement could be written or not, but it gives your family direction. For Cornelius, he and his family knew they were meant to help the poor and pray fervently. They never used their position as a prominent military family to intimidate people. Their statement ...
