We are all Debtors

“They agreed they were in this for good, completely together in prayer, the women included. Also Jesus’ mother, and his brother” Acts 1:14 (The Message Version)

Study Passage: Ephesians 4

In the body of Christ there are no graceless Christians, we all have a measure of grace given unto us by heaven. However the release of this grace has purpose, which is for the common good of everyone in the body. As long as you and I carry Gods anointing, we are debtors to the body of Christ.
So any one that sits on God’s gift and fails to give generously to the body of Christ is a wicked servant and a thief.  So the question is are you a wicked servant or thief?

In God’s design no one stands alone, nor operates in isolation. You are owned by two always, God himself first and the Brethren second. In a different blog post we will discuss how we can belong to the brethren and yet not become unavailable for God.  I guess that settles the question the paragraph might have arisen in your heart of the exploitative nature of people even so called brethren.

Why are we debtors, we are debtors because we all have been given a measure of grace, only Christ our master, has a measureless grace out of which he shares with us. Therefore since we all have measured grace, we are designed to complement each other until the body of Christ comes unto perfection.  Please note that having a measured grace does not imply weakness or inferiority, it shows off the dynamism of our Creator King! And to the level of measure you have, it is unto that level that you are indebted. To whom much is given much is expected. The beauty of operating in ones measured grace is that it kills envy and jealousy.

Dear friends, the gifts of the spirit are meant for service not decoration, and no one chooses the type they want, it is the Lord of the harvest that assigns and administers to all according to the measure of grace. In order to ensure we all utilize our grace and gifts we must ensure to walk with the administrator to give us the right posting. Because until you are in the right place or posting, you struggle for space to operate.
If the church must grow in our generation we must allow the administrator, the Holy Spirit to work freely among us. Each man must face their own work, either as a planter or waterer, knowing that God is the one that gives increase.

We must all leave this level of petty jealousy and support one another, the enemy of the Church are united against us, and we are here fighting on denominational level and doctrines that would not save. Spiritual gifts are not worked for or learnt, they are gotten by the generosity of God and we must know that our God is not a showman, he works as he pleases.

Everybody Should Win:The need to Learn how to Resolve Conflict

“Two are better than one, because they have good return for their labour” Eccl. 4:9 “Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord” Hebrews 12:14 As a development consultant with some specialty in conflict management, working in the space for over a decade now, I can confirm that indeed life is inevitable without conflicts. But how we manage the process is key. The Bible references above reminds of the benefits we get from working together and also living in peace and above all the spiritual benefits. Living in peace facilitates holy living, which in turn makes us to see the Lord, in everything we do. This article will be a form of review of Gary Chapman’s book “Everybody Wins: Guide to Solving Conflicts without Arguing” (if you can please get a copy for yourself). The goal of everyone, couples or people in relationship should be to resolve conflict without arguing. We must first establish before proceeding ...

Prayer Mission Statement IV

Acts 10:1-8 “He and all his family were devout and God fearing, he gave generously to those in need and prayed regularly” v 2. We go a step further  in our family prayer series, before we round up it up with the next post by His grace. The suggestion in part IV is to formulate a family prayer mission statement, our praying should focus on our mission statement. Remember some couples of weeks back, we shared the issue of vision and mission statement together and through the scripture, we agreed that without a vision/mission statement people perish, people are stagnant or have no direction at all. Like said yesterday that as a family there is need to have or know the purpose and plan of God for our family. The statement could be written or not, but it gives your family direction. For Cornelius, he and his family knew they were meant to help the poor and pray fervently. They never used their position as a prominent military family to intimidate people. Their statement ...
